Six stories of mine in the editors' queue:
I wait a week to hear back; I wait two--
Are they holding onto them for further review
Or only because it's Christmas?
In winter this hemisphere grinds to a halt
If you don't read while walking on icy asphalt
Since you don't want to slip, I can't hold you at fault:
We must take our time at Christmas.
Have my words brought approbation,
Or is the editor just on vacation?
All I want is a publication.
Please give me one for Christmas!
